Vijay’s ‘Thalapathy 66’ titled ‘Varisu,’ first-look poster out

The much-awaited film in the crazy combination of Thalapathy Vijay and National Award-Winning director Vamshi Paidipally has been the talk of the town since its inception. The makers have completed 2 lengthy schedules with Vijay and Rashmika. Now ahead of Vijay's birthday, the title look poster is out and it looks killer. The film has been titled Vaarisu.

Produced by the National-Award-winning producer Dil Raju & Shirish under their production house Sri Venkateswara Creations, the makers of Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna starrer canned very crucial sequences in the last schedule.

The much-awaited film also stars Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Sangeetha and Samyuktha who are playing prominent cast. 

For the unversed, the director Vamshi Paidipally, himself has penned the story of the movie, in association with writers Hari and Ashishor Solomon. The film is being made on a lavish scale with grand production values and popular craftsmen are taking care of different crafts to make it as a visual grandeur.


S Thaman renders soundtracks, while Karthick Palani is onboard as a cinematographer and KL Praveen as editor. Sri Harshith Reddy and Sri Hanshitha are the co-producers of the film. Sunil Babu & Vaishnavi Reddy are the production designers.

The film is scheduled for Pongal, 2023 release.

Vijay’s Next Seals its Release Date

 Tamil star Vijay’s new project under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently at the pre-production stage. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 67, the film marks the second time collaboration of the star actor-director duo after the 2021 film, Master. Already reports came out that Trisha is finalized as the female lead opposite Vijay. News also came out that Vijay will be seen as a fifty plus years old gangster in the movie and Bigg Boss Tamil 6 fame Janany is locked for the daughter role in Thalapathy 67. On the other hand, the buzz is also circulating that even Kamal Haasan and Fahadh Faasil will be a part of the film.  ‘Varisu’ third single: Thalapathy Vijay in a blissful melody after a long time! Thaman has composed this blissful song, which is called the 'Soul of Varisu', with the lyrics by Vivek. Veteran singer KS Chithra, who is popularly known as 'Chinna Kuyil', crooned this number which depicts a mother's lullaby for her grown son. The lyric video of this two-minute song is very pleasing to the eyes. Jayasudha plays Vijay's mother in the film. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Yogi Babu, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Shaam, Srikanth, SJ Suryah, Prabhu, Khushbhu, Jaysudha, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sangeetha, Samyuktha and others.
