‘Master’ and ‘Vikram’ celebrity to join director Lokesh Kanagaraj in ‘Thalapathy 67’!
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj debuted in Tamil cinema with the critically acclaimed super hit 'Maanagaram' and later made the blockbuster 'Kaithi' and 'Master' with Karthi and Thalapathy Vijay respectively. He recently delivered the industry hit 'Vikram' with his idol Kamal Haasan.
We already broke to you that Lokesh will reunite with Vijay again for the upcoming project tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 67'. Now, the latest is that a new member has been added to the film's crew to pen an additional screenplay. It is none other than director Rathna Kumar, Lokesh's best friend.
It is worth mentioning that Rathna Kumar has already accompanied Lokesh in the writing process of 'Master' and 'Vikram'. Rathna Kumar gained fame after directing films like 'Meyaadha Maan' and 'Aadai' and he is currently working on his next film 'Gulu Gulu', starring Santhanam.
Sources say that Samantha is roped in as the female lead of 'Thalapathy 67'. Vijay is most likely to play a gangster while Samantha is expected to be seen as a cop. Produced by Seven Screen Studio, Lokesh Kanagaraj is said to have retained the same technical crew of 'Vikram' for his next film too. The upcoming project is set to kickstart by October month.
