Thalapathy 67: Fahadh Faasil In Talks For Thalapathy Vijay-Lokesh Kanagaraj's Next?

#Thalapathy67, the highly anticipated project that marks the reunion of Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, is expected to be launched soon. A lot is being speculated regarding the star cast of #Thalapathy67, which is touted to be a gangster film. Now, the latest reports suggest that Fahadh Faasil is in talks to play a key role in the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer.

According to the latest updates, the National award winner is approached to play a pivotal role in the Lokesh Kanagaraj film, and he is impressed with the idea. However, Fahadh Faasil is yet to sign on the dotted line. Director Lokesh, who reacted to these reports, confirmed that they are indeed in talks with Fahadh, even though the #Thalapathy67 star cast is not finalised in yet.

However, some unconfirmed reports suggest that Fahadh Faasil might reprise his character Amar from Lokesh Kanagaraj's latest blockbuster Vikram in #Thalapathy67. These reports have also fuelled the rumours regarding Thalapathy Vijay joining the LCU AKA Lokesh Cinematic Universe with the film. However, the makers are remaining tight-lipped about the film.

As reported earlier, rumour mills suggest that Samantha Ruth Prabhu is playing the lead antagonist in #Thalapathy67, which features Thalapathy Vijay in the role of a gangster. According to the grapevine, the project revolves around the cat and mouse game between a shady female police officer and a dreaded gangster.

It has also been rumoured that #Thalapathy67 has a connection with the director's previous films Kaithi and Vikram, as it belongs to the LCU. The sources close to the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial also suggest that legendary actor Kamal Haasan might co-produce the project under his home banner Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), along with Lalith Kumar of Seven Screen Studio.

Popular OTT platform bags streaming rights of Varisu and Vaarasudu

 Vijay Thalapathy collaborated with the director Vamsi Paidipally for his upcoming bilingual movie Vaarasudu. The film is being shot in Telugu and Tamil. It is scheduled to hit the screens during Sankranti 2023. The producer of the film Dil Raju is busy closing the non theatrical deals.  The latest news is that the post theatrical streaming rights of the movie have been acquired by the international OTT giant Amazon Prime Video. The film is currently in its shooting phase and it is much awaited. National crush Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead alongside Vijay Thalapathy. Arabic Kuthu, hit song from Vijay's Beast, crosses 200 million views on YouTube

Thalapathy Vijay's Beast, which was released in theatres on April 14, failed to live up to expectations at the box office. It also received largely negative reviews, with critics criticising the middling screenplay. The film, however, garnered attention due to the Arabic Kuthu song. The Anirudh Ravichander-composed peppy track has now reached a major milestone. Beast is an action comedy, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
