Is Thalapathy 67 a part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s cinematic universe? - ‘Vikram’ star answers!

It is already known that Thalapathy Vijay is currently working on his upcoming film 'Varisu' and the star is expected to start shooting for 'Thalapathy 67' after that. We already brought you exclusive deets regarding the most expected project 'Thalapathy 67', to be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj already created a cinematic universe (LCU) with his previous films 'Kaithi' and 'Vikram'. The maker is also starting 'Kaithi 2' in 2023. On the other hand, the hot discussion among the fans is whether 'Thalapathy 67' is a part of the LCU. Recently, actor Narain, who was part of Kaithi and Vikram, hinted at whether T67 is joining the LCU.



In an interaction with Indiaglitz Malayalam, Narain was asked to share something about Thalapathy 67. The popular actor answered, "Am not there in Thalapathy 67. That's what I know. If I come, the universe will change." Going by his words, it may be possible that Lokesh Kanagaraj is creating a new universe with Thalapathy 67 while Vikram and Kaithi are in a separate universe. Let's wait for an official confirmation.

Vijay’s Next Seals its Release Date

 Tamil star Vijay’s new project under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently at the pre-production stage. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 67, the film marks the second time collaboration of the star actor-director duo after the 2021 film, Master. Already reports came out that Trisha is finalized as the female lead opposite Vijay. News also came out that Vijay will be seen as a fifty plus years old gangster in the movie and Bigg Boss Tamil 6 fame Janany is locked for the daughter role in Thalapathy 67. On the other hand, the buzz is also circulating that even Kamal Haasan and Fahadh Faasil will be a part of the film.  ‘Varisu’ third single: Thalapathy Vijay in a blissful melody after a long time! Thaman has composed this blissful song, which is called the 'Soul of Varisu', with the lyrics by Vivek. Veteran singer KS Chithra, who is popularly known as 'Chinna Kuyil', crooned this number which depicts a mother's lullaby for her grown son. The lyric video of this two-minute song is very pleasing to the eyes. Jayasudha plays Vijay's mother in the film.
