Varisu box office collection Day 9: Thalapathy Vijay's film marches towards Rs 150 crore in TN

Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu's fantastic theatrical run is a testament to his stardom. The film collected over Rs 210 crore and is still going strong at the box office. Now, the film is holding strong at the box office during the weekdays and is putting up decent numbers. It is to be seen if the film picks up its momentum yet again during the weekend. Varisu and Ajith Kumar's Thunivu are having a neck-to-neck competition at the box office.

Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, hit the theatres on January 11. The film clashed at the box office with Ajith Kumar's Thunivu.

On its 9th day at the box office, Varisu is estimated to have earned Rs 5.30 crore in India (nett). The film has been doing great business at the overseas market as well, especially in the UK. With the weekend fast approaching, Varisu's collection will see a considerable increase. The film is now inching towards the Rs 150 crore-mark at the box office.

Varisu is an emotional family entertainer written and directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The film was produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations for a huge budget. Apart from Vijay, the film features Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Yogi Babu, Srikanth Meka and Shaam in important roles. Composer S Thaman scored the tunes and most of the songs were chartbusters.

Vijay’s Next Seals its Release Date

 Tamil star Vijay’s new project under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently at the pre-production stage. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 67, the film marks the second time collaboration of the star actor-director duo after the 2021 film, Master. Already reports came out that Trisha is finalized as the female lead opposite Vijay.  ‘Varisu’ third single: Thalapathy Vijay in a blissful melody after a long time! Thaman has composed this blissful song, which is called the 'Soul of Varisu', with the lyrics by Vivek. Veteran singer KS Chithra, who is popularly known as 'Chinna Kuyil', crooned this number which depicts a mother's lullaby for her grown son. The lyric video of this two-minute song is very pleasing to the eyes. Jayasudha plays Vijay's mother in the film.
