Vijay’s Next Seals its Release Date

 Tamil star Vijay’s new project under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently at the pre-production stage. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 67, the film marks the second time collaboration of the star actor-director duo after the 2021 film, Master.


Already reports came out that Trisha is finalized as the female lead opposite Vijay. News also came out that Vijay will be seen as a fifty plus years old gangster in the movie and Bigg Boss Tamil 6 fame Janany is locked for the daughter role in Thalapathy 67.

On the other hand, the buzz is also circulating that even Kamal Haasan and Fahadh Faasil will be a part of the film. News is also coming in that Arjun, Priya Anand and Kannada actor cum filmmaker Rishab Shetty of Kantara fame are under consideration for prominent roles in the film.

Now, the latest we hear is that Thalapathy 67 will be released on October 16th during the Dasara festival season. Touted as a gangster drama, this Lokesh Cinematic Universe film has Anirudh scoring soundtracks. Lalit Kumar is the film producer.

 ‘Varisu’ third single: Thalapathy Vijay in a blissful melody after a long time! Thaman has composed this blissful song, which is called the 'Soul of Varisu', with the lyrics by Vivek. Veteran singer KS Chithra, who is popularly known as 'Chinna Kuyil', crooned this number which depicts a mother's lullaby for her grown son. The lyric video of this two-minute song is very pleasing to the eyes. Jayasudha plays Vijay's mother in the film. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Yogi Babu, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Shaam, Srikanth, SJ Suryah, Prabhu, Khushbhu, Jaysudha, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sangeetha, Samyuktha and others. With editing by Praveen KL and cinematography by Karthick Palani, Varisu is slated to hit the screens worldwide on Pongal 2023 (January 12).
