Thalapathy Vijay trails behind Angelina Jolie on Instagram, becomes 1st Indian in THIS coveted list

Thalapathy Vijay is back in Chennai after his long schedule for director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo. On April 2, the reclusive Kollywood star decided to join Instagram and he has already clocked 5.3 million followers. Vijay is, in fact, the first Indian to be in the top 3 list of celebrities who hit 1 million followers the fastest. Angelina Jolie holds the second position, having clocked 1 million followers in 59 minutes. The top spot is held by BTS member V aka Kim Tae-hyung, who clocked a million followers in 43 minutes. And Thalapathy Vijay is number 3 on this list, having hit a million followers in 99 minutes.


Thalapathy Vijay made his social media debut quite late and he does not post anything personal but only film-related news. However, his son, Sanjay, is on Instagram and posts pics of his dad occasionally as well as his own.


 

Leo is the next big film for director Lokesh Kanagaraja as well as Thalapathy Vijay. The film, produced by Seven Screen Studio, is an action thriller directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film stars Thalapathay Vijay, Trisha and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles.


Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy, Mathew Thomas and several others are part of the supporting cast. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa and editor Philomin Raj are part of the crew as well.


Leo is set to release worldwide on October 19.

Vijay’s Next Seals its Release Date

 Tamil star Vijay’s new project under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently at the pre-production stage. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 67, the film marks the second time collaboration of the star actor-director duo after the 2021 film, Master. Already reports came out that Trisha is finalized as the female lead opposite Vijay. News also came out that Vijay will be seen as a fifty plus years old gangster in the movie and Bigg Boss Tamil 6 fame Janany is locked for the daughter role in Thalapathy 67. Arabic Kuthu, hit song from Vijay's Beast, crosses 200 million views on YouTube

Thalapathy Vijay's Beast, which was released in theatres on April 14, failed to live up to expectations at the box office. It also received largely negative reviews, with critics criticising the middling screenplay. The film, however, garnered attention due to the Arabic Kuthu song. The Anirudh Ravichander-composed peppy track has now reached a major milestone. Beast is an action comedy, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. ARABIC KUTHU MANIA IS STILL RUNNING WILD While Vijay's Beast underperformed at the box office, Arabic Kuthu broke the internet with its catchy beats.
